Hometown kid Aman Verma achieved his schoolboy ambition when he signed for Leicester City, after initially being rejected by the club’s Academy.
The 21-year-old from Humberstone was recommended to City by Kings Lynn manager Carl Heggs, who lives in Leicester.
Verma, who has also played for Redditch and Bedworth, signed a six-month contract with City in December last year, and did enough to land a one-year deal at the Walkers Stadium.
He appeared in a number of close-season friendlies but was not handed a squad number and then joined Crewe on loan for an initial three months.
