Conrad Logan has knuckled down to the task of proving manager Nigel Pearson wrong and been rewarded with a squad number and a spot as deputy to Chris Weale.
Logan is City’s longest-serving player having been involved with the club since joining the Academy in 2004./
He made 18 appearances for the first team until a succession of loan deals took him away from the Walkers Stadium and, in 2008, he helped Stockport secure promotion with a League Two play-off final win over Rochdale at Wembley.
City used six goalkeepers during their own promotion campaign in 2008-09, but Logan was never deemed suitable cover and spent time at Luton.
However, in the summer of 2009, Logan said he was determined to fight for his place at City and impressed Pearson enough with his attitude to give him a second chance.
