Saturday, January 30, 2010, 00:05

Leicester City have revealed their new season ticket prices for next season.

They have frozen prices for under-18s and seniors, but adult prices have been increased by just over £1 a game on average.

Just The Ticket prices are up for Early Bird renewals from £275 to £298 for adults, while prices for Early Bird renewals for The Kop and Family Stand are £345, although City said this does offer a potential saving of £254 compared to purchasing match tickets.

There are small rises in the newly-named O'Connor Wealth Management East Stand to £366, £430 and £480, and prices in the Upton Steel West Stand are £386, £466 and £535 for Early Bird renewals. Under-eights go free.

The Early Bird tickets go on sale from Monday to March 31. Prices are between £15 and £30 higher for new applicants for Early Bird tickets and non-Early Bird renewers, depending on the seat, and after that prices rise again for new-season ticket applicants after March 31. All Early Bird prices are set regardless of whether or not City are promoted.

Chief executive Lee Hoos said season-ticket holders were the club's priority and would benefit from a host of privileges, including their own seat at the Walkers Stadium from only £13 per game.New privileges that have also been added for next season include Seat Exchange.

"While some ticket prices have increased, these amount to as little as £1 per game on average, with price freezes for most concessions," said Hoos.

"At our most recent Fans Consultative Committee meeting, fans were of the opinion that a price change was inevitable if we want to grow as a club.

"I believe we have come up with a package that offers our season-ticket holders exceptional value and is fair.

"We are aiming to take a step forward in 2010-11 and trust our 14,000 season-ticket holders continue to pledge their support.

"If you look at the overall package, season-ticket holders are the clear winners, as they will be getting even more for their money now.

"Seat Exchange will provide an opportunity for season-ticket holders who miss a game to exchange their unused match voucher for an additional match ticket for another game.

"You have to accept that you need to invest in a strong playing squad to succeed.

"We are lucky to have a chairman in Milan Mandaric who has been generous when it comes to improving our club by buying quality players."
