The chirpy midfielder looked destined to play a big part in City’s push to reclaim their Championship place.
He joined from Bury on July 1 – the same day as Lloyd Dyer and Michael Morrison – and made his league debut in the 3-1 victory over Tranmere on August 23.
Adams also netted his first goal three days later in the Carling Cup defeat at Premier League Fulham
After making 16 appearances and being in and out of the side, Adams was loaned out to League Two Rochdale in January and made 14 appearances, helping the Lancashire club’s promotion push out of League Two.
He was recalled by City in the week of the top-of-table clash at Peterborough on March 28 which Posh won 2-0.
Adams’ switch to the Walkers Stadium has also enabled him to enhance his international reputation.
Along with City team-mate Andy King, Adams has been a regular member of the Welsh Under-21 set-up and played in their European Championship play-off defeat over two legs against England.
Now he would love to cement his place in the City side and push for a place in the full Welsh set-up.
