Paul Gallagher was brought in on a three-year deal to add a different dimension to the Leicester City attack.
Gallagher, for his part, was ready for a new challenge after a string of loan deals away from his parent club, Blackburn, and he made his City debut in a 1-0 win over Barnsley on August 22.
The Scottish international emerged through Blackburn’s Academy system but his opportunities were limited and he spent two successful loan spells at Stoke, the first one producing a goal tally of 11 goals from 37 appearances.
Last season, he spent time at Plymouth and again had a decent goal return with 14 goals in his 41 appearances.
Gallagher can operate on either flank but has also expressed a desire to play down the middle as City look to make a successful return to the Championship.
He got off the mark with a goal double against Crystal Palace on October 20.
