Leicester City's Wayne Brown aims to banish memory of Forest drubbing
Brown and his team-mates had a nightmare afternoon as City were hammered 5-1 at the City Ground in December.
He endured a torrid time against Robert Earnshaw, who scored a hat-trick that day, but is expected to start on the bench this afternoon.
To his credit, the City vice-captain showed his character immediately after the game to face the media and offered no excuses for City's poor performance.
However, City did not let that defeat derail their play-off challenge and they go into today's game on the back of a seven-game unbeaten run.
Brown said that while they all want a touch of revenge over Forest, they will maintain their focus on the main prize of promotion.
"I have had a few defeats in my career but that was one of the worst, because it was a derby at their ground and we took a fair bit of abuse," said central defender Brown. "But we have strong characters in the team and I think we have responded well since then.
"I think if you ask everyone in the team there is a part of them that wants revenge, but it is just three points at the end of the day.
"Yes, we want to beat Forest but more importantly we want the three points.
"The lads went through a difficult period of conceding a lot of goals like at Forest and the Bristol game, when we conceded another three.
"It is a long old season and it is all about keeping your feet firmly on the ground, and focusing on the games that are coming up, and forgetting the ones that have gone by.
"We have full faith in our own abilities as defenders. It is just a case of keeping the young lads' minds on it.
"It is very easy for the young lads to start dwelling on the fact that we conceded five and get down in the dumps, but there is always another game around the corner to put that right. We have that chance now.
"Of late we have done very well and it is important we keep doing that to have a realistic chance of reaching the play-offs."
