Frenchman Yann Kermorgant is on a mission to persuade Leicester City to extend his loan spell beyond a January deadline.
The former Stade de Reims striker arrived on trial in the close-season and has showed enough promise to force his way into manager Nigel Pearson’s first-team plans.
After a couple of appearances off the bench, he made his debut in City’s 1-0 win against Middlesbrough with fans’ player of the year Steve Howard forced to sit it out on the bench.
The French striker was also handed a starting berth against Coventry.
Kermorgant is keen to make his mark on the English game after spells with Reims, Vannes and Grenoble where he scored more than 50 goals in over 200 appearances for the three clubs.
